Hi All,

I have a Wishlist (2006•Movies) and it works very well. It usually returns 200 matches of movies made in 2006 (all channels).

My question:
How can I create a Wishlist to search just HBO movies or just CINEMAX movies or just STARZ movies, let's say, made in 2006?

I've tried HBO•Movies, HBO•Movies•2006 but nothing seems to work.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to create a Wishlist that would return just HBO or CINEMAX or STARZ movies?

Thanks for your time.

Even with the new advanced Wishlists I don't think it is possible. To do what you are trying the movie would have to have HBO somewhere in it's description, but it doesn't. Would be a cool new feature though.

Yeah....many months ago...I thought i could setup a wishlist just for channels I had designated as my favorites. This would allow me to look at all upcoming movies on just the Movie channels for example.

Turns out you can't do that....I never actually figured out what identifying channels as "Favorites" was really for (other than a live Guide display). Seems like the feature could be better utilized.

I'm pretty sure marking a channel as a favorite affects TiVo Suggestions selections so if you make HBO a favorite and maybe even give 3 thumbs up to some movies on HBO I'm sure your Suggestions will fill up with a lot of HBO movies. It's not as precise as a WishList but it's probably the next best thing.

I had this same dilemma, and came up with an alternative. I added the restriction Movies/HD. Since the only HD channels are OTA and the HBO/Starz/etc, and the OTA rarely have newer (2006+) movies yet, this effectively limits the WL results to the pay channels and their newer releases. I then review the WL about once a week, find the movies I want, and record them. I have one WL for 2006, and another for 2007.

Of course, if you don't have a Series 3/HD, this won't work. And this is all HD channels, not just one; so you can't *just* do HBO or *just* do Starz with this trick.

Thanks astrohip...

That helps a lot. I ordered my new Series 3 HD box yesterday and it will arrive via UPS on Wednesday the 24th. Can't wait...
