House S08E02 "Transplant" OAD 10/10/11

I enjoyed this ep, back to some classic House moments. I'm not sure if I can buy Foreman being the new Dean of Medicine without any administrative/managerial experience, but I will enjoy the conflict it brings to the series.

Charlene Yi was meh. Her character wasn't as compelling as Amber Tamblyn's Masters and her acting seemed a bit uneven.
Looking forward to 13 and prison doc to show up.

My DVR missed this ep because of the baseball game.
Luckily I'd heard about the game and was able to pad for it.
Not as fun as last week, but still enjoyable. I am not a doctor, but it seemed to me that the lungs were enormous in some scenes and reasonably-sized in others.

I noticed that, too.

I was also wondering whether it is standard for lungs to be kept "breathing" like that. Do they become non-viable if they are simply kept lightly inflated?
I didn't buy the "lungs alive in the box" thing either it just seemed odd. But to my surprise here it seems like it is, indeed, possible. With video!

Lungs in a box.
I don't know how much more Charlyne Yi I can take. They really couldn't find anybody else to play this part?!

I know, right? I can't stand that hair either!

The lungs in your video had a blood supply running to them. The ones on House didn't. They were more boxed up the way an autographed baseball is.

I liked Charlene Yi's character. She came off very innocent, sweet and a bit cute, too. It was a nice contrast to the established characters.

+1
I missed it due to baseball, too. Has anyone heard if Fox will rerun this episode sometime soonish?
Just watched it on HULU since I missed it because of baseball.
I loved House's nicknames for his "team" ala Sawyer. Reverend Moon. Kato.

Thanks. We were wondering what the heck happened to it.

You can watch it online 8 days after original broadcast.

Missed it here too. I am just wondering if someone could give a really basic outline of what happened and where it left House. I am not going to try and rewatch it online but just want to know if I missed anything that will be pertinent for next week.
Basic outline
House is released with an ankle bracelet, they have a Female patient that needs lungs, they have donor lungs but there are problems with them... House and his new team of one try to figure out how to salvage the lungs. All of his stuff and office is gone.

I thought it was a nice of them to spoiler-tag it, since there were quite a few that were checking in here to report that they didn't see it because of the baseball game.

You're right, they didn't have to tag it, but in this case I think it's not a bad idea.

Yes, absolutely. Thanks for the spoiler tag!
