I want to use the "Kidzone" feature and put all of the shows I record for my kids shows in that separate directory. However, I don't need the password feature yet as my kids are only 2 and 3 years old.

Is there way to avoid setting a password for this? Please let me know.

Thanks.

No, but you can make the password something easy to both key in and remember, like 0000, or 1111, etc...

This is exactly what my wife and I did...1234.

Our children are both under 5 and now the older one is able to power up the tv, and is only able to select shows we've deemed appropriate for them...even with the simple password, my kids can't accidentially just switch over to other content.

We absolutely love the kidzone feature....coupled with great content from Noggin, Sprout, and even some Disney, we have some really good shows with ZERO commercials, all available for them to watch for the time of day we say it's ok for them what "anything" they want on TiVo...

We've had friends on the fence about TiVo and arguing about sat and cable dvr's, but as soon as they saw kidzone they were sold....

Yes, it's that big of a deal for a family with young children.
