Damn, another week that Elise stays.

Spoilers from the previews:
That was clearly Wolfgang Puck behind the door
Lots of dead weight that needs to go, but I think there is also not a clear front runner at this point. There are a few people I could see winning this.

Need to go sooner rather than later:
Jonathan
Tommy
Elise
the blonde chick (can't remember her name)
I'm not sure I'd trust any of these people to run my restaurant. Nobody seems to stand out but several obviously do not belong there.

what a trainwreck.....but I love it!
Ok, I must admit that I've not been watching (yet), but I think all of the seasons have basically been trainwrecks and they (the producers) specifically cast the show that way. Drama, drama, drama. Never mind any semblance of talent from the contestants, it's all about ratings and that comes from the drama and hype.

I wouldn't want any of the contestants from any of the seasons I've watched to run a restaurant for me and yet they have to give the job to someone and it becomes a process of elimination to find the least bad candidate to do it.

Anyway, I may yet catch some episodes of this season, but I've kind of lost interest in going out of my way to watch the show because it does so much seem to me to be about the drama and the trainwreck and I'm very tired of that type of show.

I thought so!

I, too, am pretty tired of Elise. I want to see Hillbilly Bob (forgot his name) gone too. He is like fingernails on a blackboard to me.

I would think they have to have some talent in order to get through a dinner service, unless you think that Ramsey's chefs are actually doing some of the cooking and we don't see it.

That's why the show is edited that way. I'd bet the raw footage could be edited to show a flawless service, but that would be boring.
spoiler from previews:
I think the mystery guest is Wolfgang Puck, too. I hope so. He was quite funny when he recently appeared on Food Network Star, and gave one of the contestants (a fellow Cheesehead) a lesson on cooking risotto after she presented a trainwreck of a risotto to him.
I think most of them do have some cooking talent, but Ramsey intentionally puts them in an environment where they are destined to fail. He calls out orders as fast as he possibly can, to create confusion. They are on different stations from episode to episode, so they can't learn from past experience or mistakes, etc.

I really want Elise gone. NOW! Hillbilly Bob (Jonathan) has gotten more annoying too. I think it's his arrogance that bothers me. If he keeps trying to stand up to Ramsey, he is gone. OTOH, I think his comments are some of the most humorous.

I did like tatoo guy's question, "Meth or coke?" ;)

The winners of the show never really get to run the restaurant. I don't even think they get the job as a sous chef. They end up as line chefs at best, if they actually end up working there.
I don't want Tommy within 500 feet of any food destined for my plate.
