Well, I had my first run in with the auto-delete "feature" some programs come with. I recorded a hockey game on Center Ice last night with the intent on watching it this morning. Problem is, it was deleted. I found the program in my 'recording history" folder and it told me that the copyright holder specified it to be deleted after 0 days (90 minutes after the end according to tivo's website). That's fine -- I've got no problem with the copy protection measures -- well, I accept the need for them, I still don't like them.

Anyway, I was looking on the guide and I couldn't find any notation to which games or other programs had this "keep for 0 days" stipulation. I've got another game scheduled to record tnoight just to see if is going to be the whole Center Ice package, or just certain games. How am I supposed to determine when this "feature" comes into play?

FYI -- the Cox channels are 680 - 689 here in OKC. If I set a random game to record (not on my wish list) the TiVo reminds me to purchase the pay-per-view program before it starts. This isn't pay-per-view, it is a already-paid-per-view subscription.

Any help? Thanks in advance.

I know this can't be the first time this has come up, but I didn't have any luck finding other threads with the search.

I've always wondered how the networks would deal with the DVR revolution. That's a good way to kill it!
I'll have to find out if that's how Center Ice is handled in my area. If so that will ensure that I don't order it after the first of the year as I had planned.

Well, I determined that hitting 'info' while looking at the program in the To Do list will let you see if it has copyright restrictions on it. So, I guess my questions is now, does anyone know if this is a Center Ice or a Cox thing?

I checked with some friends and nobody else was having a problem with recording games. I called customer service and they checked and verified that these channels shouldn't be restricted like that. The rep I spoke with said that he would send it to the 'investigative department' and they should fix it up in a couple of days.

Just thought I'd give closure to the thread hardly anyone cares about...
