nope. It doesn't have satellite tuners (so it can't receive the directv signal), and can't control an external box (so can't record from a separate DirecTV receiver)*.

*Note that it couldn't handle uncompressed hi-def from an external box anyway; so if it did support external boxes it would only be able to do so for standard definition.
