I don't often check my X1 box but I did this evening looking for CBS AA. I stumbled on to an HBO MAX for 12.00/month for 12 months and then the 15.00. Offer expires 9/25. I didn't subscribe because I didn't feel like cruising the 'fine print'. I have the 11.99 12/month offer now but I'll look into this offering. I use ATV for HBO MAX currently.

Does anyone have having an HBO subscription w/Xfinity see that the app is already activated? I'll likely cancel the offer I'm on now if the 12.00 includes also the Xfinity channels to allow recording. I've no idea when it populated in the app menu.

A search for HBO populated the offer, the ICON shows HBO but description says HBO Max.. CBS AA just shows a 'folder'

Is there any way to get this offer on the web? Heck, I'm already a subscriber, and it's only $3..

I "still" subscribe via cable, because I want the ability to Tivo shows, e.g. John Oliver (and various documentaries), so I can watch them in QuickMode. If I didn't have that capability, I'd probably just subscribe separately (and probably turn it on/off more frequently), since when I watch a streamed movie, I do that via AppleTV (even when HBO was usable via a Tivo app).

I'm kinda confused as to what exactly you're asking...but if you're asking about the HBO MAX app on X1, it is NOT available on the X1 boxes yet; if you say HBO MAX into the X1 remote, you should get a pop-up stating "it's coming soon" - regardless if you sub to it thru Xfinity or not. I'd also like to know where you found that $12/month offer... ;)
I just got 2 free months of it thru Xfinity, but then it's full price/$15 after. Like mattack, I want it thru Xfinity, so that I can Tivo what shows I can, so that I can also QP them as well. Since obviously there is no HBO MAX app on the X1, I'm watching it thru my Sony (Android) TV, using my Xfinity credentials.

On an X1 box search HBO - there should be 3 HBO results, Black over white (2) & 1 White over black. I DO NOT SPEAK so I can't SHOUT at it but typed I get 3 HBO results. HBO (I'm assuming for already subscribed), the next HBO Channel 'collection', HBO BLACK over White 'On Demand' and a third that is BLACK/HBO in white that's the $12 offer. Select it and you've the 'subscribe' option. I do see a 'COMING SOON ALSO' (that shows the from $12 offer now) if I stretch further to the right. If you're subscribed I'd say that's why you can't see it. I haven't had HBO on Xfinity for maybe 10+ years.

I'll likely do a CHAT tomorrow to see what the offer includes for me. It mentions in the fine print compatible Xfinity box/remote or customer owned device. It mentions calling for more info.

CHAT agent mentioned 'everything' - CableCARD device, channels etc. My 11.99 renewed 9/01 so I'll watch conversations for a few days before making a move.

It would be interesting if a 'currently subscribed' user had a conversation with Xfinity. CHAT agent conversation wasn't spectacular but did confirm the offer was there.

The 12$ offer through 9/25 seems to be a HBO MAX offer that's available likely from many vendors/providers maybe.

The $12 offer for the first 12 months of HBO Max is currently showing in on-line packages across the Comcast landscape.

BUT, a word of caution for anyone in the Big South region: Although I would like to presume that it is most likely just an unfortunate typo, the rate after the promotional period shoots up to an unprecedented $19.99 per month, if the marketing pitch is to be believed (see below)!

I have double-checked in other Central Division regions and also in the other two divisions, and they are all showing $15.00 as the regular rate, adding further substance to my presumption of a one-off error. However, I would advise confirming the exact terms before signing up for the offer or, at the very least, watch out for the actual charge once the 12-month term expires.

My presentation by Xfinity was a bit different and the $15 was in a 'descriptive text'. It's certainly an interesting observation. I mentioned watching discussions for a few days. I believe I still will.

SO early this AM I tried the X1 for HBO MAX and the APP actually isn't available yet. In a CHAT this AM I was told after Sept for the APP ... The subscription was confirmed and I was told I'd get TEXT and email as soon as the APP was available. For now I need to continue with the ATV.

I succeeded I guess with HBO 'channels & VOD' and extending by 4 months my HBO MAX 'reduced rate'. Quite an interesting experience.

I wonder what the 'cancel direct experience' and verify using Xfinity credentials will be.

I alerted a Comcast troubleshooter yesterday about the erroneous $20 fee shown for HBO Max in the Big South Region, and he has already had the appropriate department correct the web page. It is now showing the proper $15 p.m. for the regular retail rate.
