Is there a hard drive upgrade FAQ for the Tivo HD Series 3? I'm looking for info like HD speed like 5400, 7200, 10k? Interface type like PATA, SATA? Thanks.

Those are some pretty basic questions. Check out the "Underground" forum on this site.

To answer some easy ones for you:
1) S3 only uses SATA
2) The speed is irrelevent for the S3, so the slower the better (since slower = cooler). However most drives are 7200 now. The WD 1TB "green" drive is great. Definitely don't get a 10K drive - way too expensive, and way too hot.
