ABC on Thursday granted full-season orders to two more of its freshman series Once Upon a Time and Last Man Standing as well as the sophomore comedy Happy Endings.
I think ABC wants to try a different show after Modern family and new eps of MF start next week. While the ratings for Happy Endings aren't terrible, the retention rate out of MF isn't good.I was surprised that the season finale was so soon. It looked like Max has been losing weight, even though they made a big deal about him not fitting into his costume (and eating too much pizza). I wonder how things are going to go with Brad. I'm glad they didn't go the comedic route and have Jane be upset about it.
I can roll with it on this show. They've taken a lot of tired situations and made them funny. What is really the difference is the actual dialogue. The patter is very intricate and well timed. You get the feeling that these people really are friends. And real. (Well, except the bear thing.)mrdazzo7 said:So glad when I read it got renewed...
