Is this a known issue? When I am in guide and use channel button to page through the channel guide it will periodically scroll 2 pages on a single button press back 1 page. Happens every 4-5 button presses. So it is fairly common. Any ideas?

I start noticing double-presses when batteries start getting low, but before the TiVo complains.

custom? It is a TiVo remote. Also if it was custom it would happen every time. It happens periodically.

I have two spare remotes. Just swapped my remote out and so far looking like that fixed it. Thanks. Not sure why I never thought maybe the remote channel button was going bad. Anyway thanks. One minor annoyance resolved.
