So happy to see Jackson and Maggie broken up. I detest Maggie and her attitude in this episode just reinforced my opinion. Now I just need Teddy to dump Owen and I'll be a very happy camper.

Glad they didn't drag out the situation between Jo and Alex. Glad to see Jo getting treatment and hope she and Alex get to be happy again.

Still not liking Mer and Deluca.

I can't believe this is season 16. I'm still enjoying the show.

I finally watched the episode. For a lead off episode it was really pretty lame. The whole baby crying stuff seemed like junior high acting. I have watched this from the beginning but I think I might be done.

Yeah, I thought Teddy was terrible in this. A little over the edge. I like the idea of Meredith picking up trash and losing her license. These people think the rules don't apply to them.

I hope Maggie can get off this negative vibe. I enjoy her when she is in a good mood. De Luca is okay on his own but NOT with Meredith. Richard is just sad as an App Doc. Owen wanted kids so now it looks like he will have a house full!

Bailey is such a hypocrite. A couple of seasons ago she committed felony assault by using modified HIV to cure a boy in a bubble, after the parents expressly told her no, then let a resident take the fall for her.

Doesn't Meredith still own 30 million dollars worth of the hospital and sit on the board? Karev has Yang's shares, so he owns 15 million dollars worth. They never did say what happened to Callie's and Arizona's shares after they left.

Mer told Glasses that she owns the hospital when he whined about bringing her supplies, so I think that was a way of reminding us, too. She's not trying to use that position to get around her punishment for the the insurance fraud. I think she knows that she has to take her punishment to hopefully keep her medical license. After all of the medical board drama is over then I expect she will be back at Grey Sloane Memorial.

Bailey is a good chief when it comes to the paperwork part of the job, but she sucks when it comes to managing the staff.

I still detest Owen. I hope that Teddy wises up soon and kicks him to the curb and gets back with Tom.

As the judge pointed out, Mer could have just paid the bill herself or convinced the powers that be in the hospital to lower the charges instead of cheating the insurance company. She acted like she couldn't afford to do that. No matter how well meaning she was, IMO she's guilty.

ETA: 10/24 Episode 5 (because I'm losing track!)

Bailey blurting out that she's pregnant to distract Jo was hilarious. I'm not much of a Bailey fan, but liked her in this ep.

Maggie and Amelia were funny distracting Mer. First time in a long time that I haven't hated Maggie. Still don't like her, but didn't hate her. And post-tumor Amelia is much better than pre-tumor Amelia.

I hope Richard doesn't cheat on Catherine.

I enjoyed this episode more than any I've watched in a long time.

It wasn't until this episode that I figured out some of the cast they introduced last year have been actually cut, like the guy who was in the gay relationship with Schmitt. They mentioned in an early episode he quit over Meredith's article but I didn't think at the time he was actually gone. And the woman that Bailey fired early on this season...

There was another (resident?) complaining about Mer's article when DeLuca walked into the locker room and I think he was the guy who quit. Not hot ortho guy who killed someone, but I could be wrong because I can't even remember his name. There were a bunch of Dr's in that locker room when DeLuca went in after Mer's article was released that I didn't ever remember seeing before. I think they were there as expendables (Red Shirts?) It does look like the one Bailey fired (Dahlia is her name in this EW recap of Ep 3) is probably gone. Which is too bad because I liked her more than Helm or Schmidt, although I couldn't remember her name.

My mention of Helm above made me remember another funny point in the episode. After the surgery when Mer is hugging Maggie and Tom I thought it was funny that Helm was trying to step in for a hug and Mer shooed her back to work. I can't decide if Helm's crush is funny or creepy. Guess it's a bit both.

Yeah, I was surprised and sad to see Qadri fired. I thought there would be more to her story but maybe she will return (somehow) after Meredith returns.

I loved watching Jo calm herself (with an assist from Bailey's news) using techniques she learned in therapy then use more of those techniques to help Bailey calm down about the baby. I especially liked how she prompted Bailey to change her statement combining the upside and the downside of having another child using the word "but" to instead use the word "and" because all those things were true.

Episode 7
I hate episodes that feature Maggie or Owen. So I really hated this one.

Not at all surprised Maggie killed her cousin after bullying Sabi and her father Chris. Richard should have followed his first instinct and maybe Sabi would still be alive. I was hoping they would call in kiss-ass cardio surgeon Teddy to save Sabi. Bums me out that all we don't see that side of Teddy now.

Not at all surprised Owen reacted like such a jerk to Amelia's pregnancy and his patient's pregnancy....it's always all about him when it comes to a woman's right to choose.

eta: I meant to type kick ass cardio surgeon Teddy, not kiss ass!

Thank dog the drama about Mer's license is over and *shocker* she remains a doctor. And Bailey hired her back.

The only thing worse than Maggie's massive professional ego and personal insecurities is her wallowing in self pity. Ugh, I hope they give her a brain tumor and she comes back after surgery as likable as Amelia is now.

And speaking of Amelia, glad to see she didn't lay a guilt trip on herself when the guy who killed Derek died on the table.

I was really hoping Cristina would show up to support Mer, but I'm sure we won't see Sandra Oh on Grey's again until the series finale. I miss her so much!

Yes, I was surprised to see hot ortho guy back. I assumed he was written off to cut expenses but I saw him on some netflix or hulu show so maybe it was just a scheduling conflict.

Wow, a lot happened this episode!

Not loving the Jo stole a baby thing. Hopefully Link gets her to call the social worker and that's the end of it...but yeah, I know that's not going to be it.

I'm really sick of Maggie. Hopefully Teddy takes back over Cardio and Maggie leaves...buy yeah, I know that's not going to happen either.

Dr McWidow is hot when he's not being a jerk Way to go Cristina. Please Mer, pick him not DeLuca!

And oh no, Amelia is pregnant with Owen's baby? Ugh. I love Amelia and Link together.

I don't watch Station 19

There was some blurb about a crossover but my recording cut off. Is that going to be in Jan when Grey's returns I didn't see any Station 19 episodes in the guide?

I wonder if McWidow was brought in to make us like DeLuca more. It's not working. I don't like either of them.

The crossover episode will be January 23rd. That's too long to wait! I don't normally watch Station 19 but I will record this episode.

Hadn't occurred to me that it might be Maggie driving the car! Interesting.

I wasn't liking McWidow either. But when he told Mer why he insisted on giving the patient and her Mom all of the information it made sense to me. I don't agree with his delivery (even with his hot Irish accent), but seeing him walk out of the elevator and then seeing dumb DeLuca watching really drove home that DeLuca and Mer have zero chemistry while Mer and McWidow had tons of chemistry.

I don't know if McWidow really qualifies for Mc status, but I do like his accent.

I don't watch Station 19 either

and usually just abandon whatever half of the crossover it is when they do that. I wonder if it will be very involved. It seems like in the past it's just been that some Station 19 people show up in the episode and then I can go back to not caring about their plotlines at the end.
