Can someone please tell me what happened at the very end after Izzy opened the door to George standing there? I forgot to extend TiVo by a couple of minutes.

George said, "I Love You, too"

Meredith's voice over says, "Sometimes the more things change, the more they stay the same. And sometimes, oh, sometimes, change is good. Sometimes change ... is... everything."

WHOA!

Mine cut off when Meredith and McDreamy were breaking up... what happened with Izzy/George and anything else I missed?!?!

(dammit, I guess I can't cut off the last minute in favor of Sunny in Philly)

Another great Grey's episode. I really loved the ending with George and Izzy.

My Izzy is back. Yeah!

Those of you who missed the last 2 minutes.....I think you should consider adjusting your clip settings. I think it is best to miss the beginning of a show rather than the end. You can always catch up......

[EDIT] Just saw this: http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?t=367662

looks like ABC added an additional minute at the last minute. Many of you may not have received the update in time. as a result, clip protection would not have made a difference.

I've heard of jumping the shark, but jump-starting the deer! That's a new one.
I was very close to giving up and deleting the episode once Izzy decided to save the deer.

Right now, my SP is hanging by a thread. I have too many shows piling up on my hard drive that I'm going to have to start making some cuts, and Grey's is right on the line.

My TiVo HD caught the entire episode and cut off only a bit of next week's preview, which is fine by me. I think it may have lopped off the first few seconds of the beginning.

Is Lexi going to be the kind of person Meredith would've been had Mer been raised by a kind and attentive mother rather than a work-obsessed shrew? That should be interesting.

I don't get why Lexi lied to the new interns and told them this was George's first day or why George went along with it.

Surely they realize that the truth will eventually come out...
Well, the truth that it wasn't George's first day will come out. But the fact that Lexi knew that already? That's got a much better chance of staying hidden (or forgotten).

I was hoping that Meredith and McDreamy would finally be broken up. I guess we'll have another long season of the two of them. They're dangerously close to Ross/Rachel territory, where people actively root for them to NOT be together.

I understand that this is a TV show and without conflict there is no plot. But all of these characters make the stupidest, most self destructive decisions in their lives. How did these people have the attention span to get through med school, or to do their jobs.

Two surgeons decide to have an emotional discussion/pity party right before each is going to do delicate, life altering procedures. I hope most real life surgeons would be concentrating on the job at hand and not picking fights right before they get started.

A doctor gets married to a fellow doctor with whom he works closely every day. Then he has an affair with a good friend who happens to be another doctor with whom he works closely every day. Now he might throw away the marriage for the affair, and continue to work closely with both of them. And how did that work out for the Sheppards?

And just because you grew up with an emotionally unavailable shrew of a mother who cared for nothing else but her career and her own immediate needs does not give you the ability to complain about her failings and then to turn around to become the exact same selfish *****. I don't care if they show is named after you or not.

I've always liked Merdith more than most (which essentially means I don't want her to die in a bloody incident), so this may come out as overly defensive of her choosing Derek. What I'm curious about is, why, after Meredith's sister had called her name, did Derek, who knew that this was Meredith's long-lost sister, feel the need to summon Meredith, rather than letting Meredith go have a drink with that sister. Very selfish of him.

Yeah - that was bad. She should have stuck it to McDreamy and gone to her sis.

This is where the show fails for me a lot of the time. In this episode, it was not the conversation you mentioned in your post, but the place where Lexi tried to introduce herself to Meredith in the middle of the incoming trauma patients.

Surely the writers could have found a better way to introduce this character, or for Meredith to find out that Lexi is her sister. The cheap and easy solution: have someone call out "Dr. Grey" and have both of them respond. They couldn't have done the "I'm your sister" stuff as part of the "I'm the girl in the bar." scene?
