Can I ask if the second two episodes came across as pretenious as the first one? I had a mild interest in it.. but there was a chord that it struck with me that was a bit off putting so I did not watch it again.

In what way?

In that the most all of the characters come very wealthy families in New York and that the whole show seems to occur at some sort of fancy party of some type?

If so, then no. It's the same. Same characters. And so far, most everything happens at some fancy party.

:)

I love it.

also enjoying it. I saved 3 episodes and watched them all at once and it is a keeper. Fills part of the void left by The O.C., Veronica Mars and Gilmore Girls (only part.....)

Gilmore Girls will probably stand the test of time a little better than 90210, Dawson's Creek and The O.C. Tough to rank them though, never watched Dawsons but really enjoyed the others.

Gilmore Girls was real, the rest seemed to grow more out there as the storylines played out. As far as Gossip Girl, I will continue to watch and am glad for the Sunday airings too, I need them!

Interesting bit of Gossip Girl news - :D

Michelle Trachtenberg is signed for a multi-episode arc to air during sweeps.
