Anyone else watching this? I honestly don't know why I like this show, but I'm enjoying it. I really do like the brother and sister and their Dad. But, other parts of it are good too. For now, I'm sticking with it.

I think this has become my guilty pleasure this season. My only problem is the main girl character is too old for high school.

I've been enjoying this show so far - it's right in my "guilty pleasure" wheelhouse. But there was one moment in this episode that really bugged me. When the guy finds out that Serena had sex with the other guy, he walks away? Even within the conceit of the show, it just didn't ring true. He admits he's lusted after her for years. He's a teenage boy. No way that bothers him.

She looks way too old for high school, but the actress just turned 20 so she was only 19 when this was filmed. She's a little old, but not much.

She's only 20. Most all the actors on these types of shows are older than their characters... I don't think she looks that unbelievable.

I am loving this show though, it is my drama filled soap show for the year.

I dunno, it rang true for me. Probably because it was a little more than lust. He's liked her since she said 'hi' to him at a party, right? Not simply because she's hot. Which she is.

They've certainly portrayed Dan as the dreamer. I can totally buy him thinking that Serena is much more innocent than she really is/was. In fact, it's the very fact that she's (probably) been put on a pedestal by him is probably what makes her falling off it hurt so much.

Besides, why would they let them get together so quickly - at least get the order for the back 9, then consider it.

Oh - they definitely should keep them from getting together too quickly. I just didn't buy the way they did it this time. He's a teenaged boy. And his crush on her predates her say hello to him at the party - he mentions to his sister how he's had a crush on her for a long time. I believe the line was something like he'd had a crush on her for his entire life.

Maybe I'm too jaded, but seems to me that his reaction to hearing that she'd had sex with the other guy would more likely be - She's done it before, so chances are better that she'll do it again -- with me this time.

Though he's a total caricature, Chuck is an excellent villain for this show.
