Can Serena and Dan have a date without Eric and Jenny interrupting?

Jenny really worked that sleepover party well, especially the part where she's getting the coat from Blair's mothers store. As much as I like Eric, I haven't yet gotten the feel for the cause of his suicide attempt; he just seems more up than I'd expect. Not like I have any personal experience.

I really would've thought Dan would have known not to try to take Serena out on a date with limo and some fancy-schmancy restaurant, and even to have dressed up in that suit for it. By now, though, I certainly hope he gets that Serena wants out of the rich-girl social circle she traveled in before and Dan can just be Dan with her.

Tit for tat with Rufus calling his wife and a man answering then his wife calling him and Lily answering. If it were me, I wouldn't have hung up but instead would've just acted like nothing was wrong and had my phone call as intended. I think that's more effective than hanging up, especially once you're identified as the caller.

Agreed about Jenny moving up in the in crowd and Dan being a dope about not realizing Serena would have liked to have gone on a normal Dan date to begin with.

I expected more interation between Jenny and Eric after they sprung him from the hospital. But we really didn't see it.



I'm still liking this show, though. Lets see if Blair backs off more. I think she will give Jenny a lot of repsect/props now. But I hope Jenny doesn't get *****y

Still liking this show a lot. Jenny held her own with the Queen Bee (no offense to our very own Queen Bee intended) - she's on the inside now. I expect we'll start to see some interesting dynamics as Blair and Jenny start palling around (and Jenny can't afford to do the kinds of things that Blair does). The dialogue and interplay between Dan and Serena was excellent - I hope they let that relationship ride for a bit and get their romantic angst elsewhere (perhaps from Jenny and newly-sprung Eric?).
