We officially "cut the cord" today when we dropped off our cable cards at Spectrum. Our departure has nothing to do with Tivo. We have always loved our Tivo Roamio Pros. The problem is that Spectrum's prices just aren't reasonable. We had NO premium channels, and yet replacing Spectrum with the necessary streaming services will save us about $100 per month. Frankly, it was dumb to stay with cable this long.

So, unless someone wants to trade a Tivo with OTA or an Amazon Recast for a Roamio Pro, we're probably done with Tivo. I'm a little sad.

Is Spectrum still your internet provider?
Yes. Remarkably, even though I live in a metropolitan area (DFW), Spectrum is the ONLY high speed internet available. AT&T maxes out at 25mb. I can’t believe Spectrum has a monopoly. I did get lucky today. The Spectrum employee couldn’t figure out how to unbundle my internet, which would have raised the price, so she just deleted my account and then added me back as a new customer with a new much lower rate. 🤪
