Title says it all
Presently mbt is 44 I assume Celsius is this good or should I put a laptop fan underneath it for more cooling. I have had it overheat once but that's was when it was stacked o Er my home theater system. I assume cooler is better

Just checked mine this morning. For your reference it is 39 C at 6 AM and my A/C set at 73 for night time sleeping. I think that I have read here the somewhere near 40 C is a goal and mine usually stays below 42 C. I have a computer muffin fan leaning on the left side of my Roamio blowing air beneath and to the right.

so mune maybe running a bit hotter than I want. I have a fan blowing on it but all my equipment is in a cabinet with closed doors. Thinking of putting a Laptop cooing fan underneath the TIVI and see if that helps

A fan blowing HOT air on a HOT TiVo is not going to do much - you need to ventilate the cabinet.

GOOGLE: "AC Infinity"

and look at their "Cabinet Fan Systems" for ideas. I'm not saying that you have to spend "Big Bucks" for their equipment but you do need to measure the ambient temperature INSIDE the cabinet to see what you're working with...

search amazon for "cabinet cooling fan with thermostat' to see some options. I have one in my cabinet that is totaly silent and keeps the air moving. Just make sure that there's some holes in the cabinet to let cool air enter.

I had doors on my cabinet under my HDTV. I removed the doors and the cabinet still looks good, but with better air circulation
