I have a cable card install for my TivoHD on Saturday. I have digital silver that includes 1 box. If I return my Motorola HD DVR and install one TivoHD w cable card.... .do I get to keep a regular cable box for no monthly fee?

I was wondering about this myself.....

I currently have a Digital Cable box with the Digital premium package.....

I just picked up my Cablecard for my new TivoHD.....No charge, and they didn't want the box back.

Will the box work on one of my upstairs outlets?

I joined Comcast because they said they supported Tivo, so I bought a Tivo HD; when Comcast came to install their cards the cards would not work. Now Comcast is telling me they never supported Tivo. My response to them was if that's true why were their techs. at my house trying to install the cards. They won't let me speak to anyone in "authority" nor will a supervisor return my calls. Yet they are screaming about my unpaid bill. Suggestions?

Call Tivo and setup a confrence call, with your cable company, by federal law they have to install cable cards in your Tivo.

That is the way it works for me. 1 box included in monthly service and 1st cablecard is no charge. So I get both a box and cablecard for no additional charge.
That's what I like about Comcast... consistent policies. I have one STB and 2 CCs. I am being billed for both CCs. I don't know if policies are different based on locality or if each customer is subject to the whim or misunderstanding of Comcast billing policies by the CSR you happened to deal with. Based on posts in other threads many other Comcast customers are being billed under rules that state first device (STB or CC) is free, everything else is billable.

And I have Micheal Schumacher's full last season in F1 on it's Hard Drive.

How do I burn this data to a DVD or download it to my laptop?
That's not the theme of this thread, which you resurrected from nearly HALF A YEAR AGO.

Hijacking threads is a no no...even one as old as this. (Maybe ESPECIALLY with one as old as this.)

You might want to ask your question in the "chit chat" forum.

There are several programs out there that will burn perfect copies of DVDs, in just about any format -- except for Blu-ray right now. There's DVD Fab Platinum (it also copies PSP, iPod videos, and to other mobile devices etc.), DVDXcopy, and an assortment of other programs to convert videos to certain formats of your choice. Even though they sell them online, we'll not talk about the legality issues LOL.

You go the Home Media Features section and ask. It's easy, but I have a Mac, and can't help (I trust the laptop is a PC).
