getting OTA signal on TV, but not through HD-Tivo

I am getting all of the over the air X.1 channels through my HD Tivo, as well as my TV (I have the OTA antenna connected to the Tivo and the TV directly) except for channel 2.1- CBS. (I live in Chicago).

I know I am getting the signal because I can get in through the TV, but it doesn't seem to work through the Tivo- any suggestions? I have tried resetting the system with no success so far...

What does your signal meters tell you about the OTA Signal?

Have you re-done the channel scan for OTA?
I'm not sure I understood the problem.

The HDTiVo doesn't have an NTSC tuner so it can't tune analog channels.
Does your TV have an ATSC digital tuner?
for 2.1 WBBM Chicago:

internal tuner 1- 90+
internal tuner 2- 20-25

for all of the other stations both tuners are 90+

I can still get it through my regular HDTV tuner on the TV.
I also rescanned the OTA signals and nothing changed
With the big discrepancy between Tuner 1 and Tuner 2...
I think you have a malfunctioning internal splitter on that HR10-250
the other HD stations all work fine..both tuners for those are 90+....could it only be broken on channel 2.1?

any suggestions before I call D*TV and try to get a new one? thanks for all of your help
Ahh...

2.1 (which is frequency VHF-3 in Chicago)

Is absolutely abhorent... If my Son's computer is POWERD (not even turned on), I lose WBBM-DT.

If that is the only one you are having problems with, then your system is fine. It is just the signal is so "sensitive" to interfearence...

If I turn my on right now, it jumps all over the place from 90 to 10 to 50 to 40... all different values on both tuners..

If you don't get it now, call DirecTV and have them activate Channel 80 (CBS-HD-East from NY), that is what I use.

My first HD Reciever the SAT-520 could work with it (It had semi-frequent brakeups).
The HR10-250 has higher levels of satisfaction, so it can get a clean DVR experience... thus it won't lock in on that bad signal.

I have a similar problem in Phoenix AZ.
I get all the local x.1's crystal clear thru my tv tuner, but channel 15.1 is totally unviewable thru my HR10-250. Is my tv down converting the signal to make it viewable ?

I believe ABC 15.1 sends out the weakest signal compared to the other local OTA digital transmitters. I have no problems with any of the locals with the exception of 15.x. The video seems fine sometimes for an extended period of time and then all of a sudden the video drops out for sometimes seconds or even minutes at a time. FWIW, I find I get a little stronger and more reliable signal from 15.x using a Silver Sensor antenna rather than my more expensive Winegard Squareshooter.
YMMV...

He mentions "channel 2.1".

That would be a digital channel, not analog.

He says his HD TiVo isn't able to tune it while the TV is. Sounds like his TV has a digital tuner.
