First episode I really liked. All the stories actually progressed and at a rapid pace. Good stuff.
Why? She is obviouslyly not the brightest bulb but I don't think she was raised to be anything else but a trophy wife for a lord. She loves her father and is doing anything she can with limited abilities to save his life.I hate sansa.
Not so sure about that. If Sansa had backed Arya's version of events the queen would have gone crazy and accused both of them of lying. That could have ended even more badly.Arya would still have nymeria and Sansa herself would still have Lady of Sansa weren't such a dumb twit.
Greatjohn Umber, of House Umber. In the fingers scene he says something like, 'No Umber is going to follow a Glover into battle!'Great episode, best of the series so far!
I gotta start out with a quote from the book. It's nothing you'll be sorry you read, I think. Regarding Arya when she stuck the stable boy with the pointy end.
In the book the stable boy says "oh gods, take it out". Now I didn't go back and look that up, but I'm pretty sure it's an exact quote. May not seem like so much in this post, but in context I thought it was very powerful when I read it. Shame it couldn't stay.
Again, great great episode. Sad there's only 2 left.Sadder still that we'll have to wait a year for the next season.
Who is the guy with the gray beard that wanted to take the van when Robb called the banners?
Those that watched the show only... don't know what really happen... does the book describe what happens after Ayria leaves? Does he lose/die?The Lannister knights and soldiers sport some cool looking armor.
Syrio, why didn't you pick up one of the fallen soldier's sword? Why, Syrio, why?
Info related to fate of Syrio ForelThose that watched the show only... don't know what really happen... does the book describe what happens after Ayria leaves? Does he lose/die?
All of the chapters in the book are from the point of view of a particular character. This particular scene was from Arya's POV so what we saw on screen was pretty much like the book. As Arya left we were left to imagine the end both in the book and on screen. Those that watched the show only... don't know what really happen... does the book describe what happens after Ayria leaves? and i'm still hoping he lives! yes , the evidence would say otherwise unfortunately -All of the chapters in the book are from the point of view of a particular character. This was one of my favorite chapters reading the book, and they certainly did it justice on screen. It was just so gratifying seeing him take care of all of the Lannister lackeys with a wooden sword.Syrio, why didn't you pick up one of the fallen soldier's sword? Why, Syrio, why?
I skipped the spoiler above. The knocked out guys were waking up, the leader was still there and Syrio only had half a stick left. Things didn't look too good for my man.I see no reason to assume Syrio did not win the fight. He didn't kill anyone, just knocked them out. The Lannister guard could have lost the fight to Syrio and woke up later to make it to the throne room.
