they must have had a different writer last night, that episode was fantastic, easily the best one of the new season (at least in my opinion)

i'll have to go back and re-watch to see all the ships trapped in there, and nice nod to lost, was that sawyer at the end?

Same here. This season has been a waste for me but this episode rocked.
I LOL'd when Doctor Who came walking out of the whale.

Good episode.

I saw Discovery from 2001, the Lunar Lander, an Apollo capsule labled Apollo 100, the back half of an Oceanic Airliner, plus various flying saucers. But I probably missed or didn't know a lot of others.

i'm pretty sure i also saw the jupiter ii from lost in space, and one ship i recognized but couldn't remember where i'd seen it before

Maybe it was the same whale which will in the 29th century assist Starship UK in it's escape from the sun's flares that are killing the Earth? :) :D

Of course not, even if it survived Leela & co's assault.

The Electric Light Orchestra spaceship was also in there:

they must have had a different writer last night...
The credited writer was Dan Vebber, who's written a number of other episodes. And all episodes are extensively written/revised in "the room" anyway, so they basically all have the same writers working on them.

That's two episodes in a row with Tom Baker references.

I was just rewatching it and noticed another Comedy Central spaceship the Satellite of Love from MST3K.
