No, you've said enough. Nice job with the big spoiler in your thread title. Since I have a DVR (several people do around here), I don't watch everything live. I guess I know what to expect when I watch this one. Yeah, you changed it, but you spoiled at least one person.

Funny how he is one of the biggest whiners about spoilers. I guess rules are for others....
We knew it was just a matter of time.

My DVR experienced mega-weirdness- I was watching right along with it and while the red light showed the entire hour I only got a 16 minute recording.
Does Hulu or Fox air the episodes?
Two weeks until the next episode? Two weeks? TWO WEEKS? Arrrrgggghhh!!!!!!!
That's what sucks about liking shows on the network with post-season baseball. Early in the Fall season, a chunk gets knocked out of the schedule.

I remember X-Files not even starting until November because of play-offs/World Series...
Peter suddenly naked, bobbing in the waters of Lake Reiden was an appropriate way for him to appear. Although not quite the Olivia-through-the-windshield-moment-that-spoiled-me-forever. And I can see the show being able to dramatically exploit Peter proving himself and re-integrating into a team where none of the members remember him for quite a while.

St. Claire's was where Walter was institutionalized for 17 years. I wonder if calling Astrid ,'Claire' was more a result of his preoccupying fear of going back. Or maybe he was seeing Astrid as restricting him, much like the hospital did.

Jeff Pinkner and Joel Wyman had a live tweet last night. They blew away some of my pet theories. This tweet, from Pinkner, tells us quite a bit about how the Observers operate: http://www.twitlonger.com/show/dkp4ra . But also begs a lot more questions.
When Walter started taking a leak while in the electrical sub-station yard, I was thinking "that's not a good idea". :D
Beautiful episode, and really good work between Anna Torv and John Noble.
Unless he saw the Mythbusters episode where they disproved it - well - for the third rail at least :)

Interplay between two of them was incredible ... it did seem like a really personal episode - with Anna's and John's interaction the central theme. I would have to say that even with some other great episodes that John had, acting wise this was his best so far. And ... my guess with Peter coming back there won't be much more time for these quiet moments.

Too bad they couldn't give Fox another channel solely for sports. They could call it Fox Sports for something...

Of course, they're not going to spend--what, a billion?--just to put it on some cable network that not everybody gets and not everybody who gets it knows it's there!
Is this the first time we are seeing the Amber World Nina? She's become a consciousless big business shark here. Paraphrase: "It's not up to us what people do with what we invent, as long as we hold the patents." That doesn't seem like the old Nina.

And did anyone else notice the greedy gleam in her eye when she was asking Olivia about the experiments on the children?

Yup, and they paid all that money because more people will watch playoff baseball than regular programming. If more people watched Fringe than MLB playoffs, maybe they would put the baseball playoffs on Fox Sports.

Sorry, I meant to write that Nina is a conscienceless big business shark. I must have been consciousless at the time.
Thought this was a great episode. I am very excited to have Peter back as well. It also seems that Nina and Olivia have known each other for a very long time. Nina said to Olivia that she hadn't seen her so nervous since her prom. It is interesting to catch all these differences in this timeline.

Peter is back...

She had not shown much this side of her to the Fringe team in the Peter-was-saved part of the timeline. But she has shown glimmers of ruthlessness when the Fringe team is out of sight. IIRC, she is shown sending someone to be experimented upon in the final scene of one episode. And she did arrange for Olivia to publicly arrest/humiliate the CEO of a pharmaceutical rival -- which helped MD stock prices.

Her attitude here towards the consumer use of products and patents appears particularly heartless, but it is realistic.
Have we seen Nina in the other universe?
no
