The specials are a distinct possibility, the second spin-off less so. The six have always enjoyed hanging out, and are apparently friends in real life. If the network is willing to shell out the bucks, why not?

Matthew Perry is supposedly attached to Aaron Sorkin's new show.

Last I heard, Matthew Perry had gotten unattached to Sorkin's new show.

Why not four one-hour specials? It's not like Jennifer Aniston's movie career is taking off into the stratosphere. None of them have really scored big since Friends ended.

It all sounds like it's a joke, especially the title of the new series, but I think it's true.
A random thought. It makes no sense for the three male characters from Friends to do a series (Joey, Chandler and Ross open a strip club together! Wackiness ensues!). Would viewers accept a show with the same actors together playing different characters?

If its true then why didn't NBC announce it at their TCA press conference today?
The only source of this story seems to be WENN, which isn't exactly the most reliable news source out there.
I call Shenanigans.

Blood in the water with what appears to be major changes in next years lineup of shows. They better hope that new football package pays off, big time.

I would think the characters are getting too old. Do people really want to see a sitcom of dysfuntional 30-somethings sitting around drinking coffee and discussing their upcoming 40th birthday? Aren't most of this show's original vicarious fans now married and busy with family to really care anymore? There are amusing jokes that can be made for a 20-something character who has a pet monkey or a duck. Add a decade or so and that character becomes just sad.

I don't buy it, though I like this idea for reunions. It's how I've alwasy hoped "Cheers" or "Seinfeld" might be back. Those two-hour made-for-TV movies for sitcom reunions usually suck. Making new, taped-before-a--studio-audience shows is a better idea,

Maybe I am one of the few people that actually enjoyed Joey...
I just think it was doomed to fail, since they put it at 7pm on Thursdays.... There is no way it could pull the same raitings that the Friends did.

I think Season 2 of Joey took big steps forward (except for the introduction of Zack he almost counters all the improvements).

Couldn't Joey survive on Tuesday or even Monday?

Either way, another spin off with just the three Guys.... I don't think so.
We know one is married with TWO kids, doesn't live in the city any more.
We know Ross was "probably" going to marry Rachel and already has 1 child together, and then mix in "Ben"
We know Joey is busy out in LA (what is he going to stop all that and move out on his family again, and if so... Alex will probably be with him)

Yah... Three "single" guys and all their dating mayham, with their new married lifes... Sure it will be the same hip show Friends was....
