BURN IN HELL, FOX!!!!!!!!!!
Americas Most Wanted host John Walsh isnt burned out, nor does he plan to fade away anytime soon. But hell likely need to find another home for his long-running true crime show, which aired on Fox for 23 years until its cancellation Monday.
While four more episodes of Wanted will trickle out as two-hour specials, the weekly program whose high profile and flurry of called-in tips helped local, national and international law enforcement officials nab more than 1,100 bad guys will go away after June 18.
Well with more most wanted people on the loose now, COPS will have MORE peopleAs long as COPS is safe...
+1No idea why they would ever cancel this show it should be considered a PSA and a total write-off. Or at least have the decency to sell it to another network.
From Fox Broadcasting Company president Kevin Reilly:No idea why they would ever cancel this show it should be considered a PSA and a total write-off. Or at least have the decency to sell it to another network.
I wouldn't be surprised if the quarterly specials continue after next season, rather than being just "the last four episodes"."It's no secret to John [Walsh]: we have not made money on the show in quite a while. It was economically getting to the place where it was not really particularly viable but we wanted to keep the franchise alive. John is important to News Corp. He got in a number of conversations as to where that series could continue. You'd have to talk to him about what that ends up being... I would not be at all surprised if you see the show pop up somewhere else. And that's something you should follow up with John on."
And when they do, the cameras on Cops will be there when they get caught. There is a bizarre group of people on Facebook who are convinced this means criminals will run wild on our streets now.
Cops at least has syndication value, AMW doesn't.I'm a little surprised Cops makes money, if AMW doesn't, or that they haven't considered turning AMW into a 30-minute show, and airing it, along with a single Cops episode, in the Saturday 8-9 slot.
9 on Saturday.. crap, or sports, or both, Crap sports.I wonder what they are going to put in its place.
Perfect first reply. I lol'dThey just don't give any shows a chance anymore.
BURN IN HELL, FOX!!!!!!!!!!
The newest reality show: I married a Criminal.I wonder what they are going to put in its place.
What everybody else does - repeats. For example, they can show "instant encores" of Fringe or Terra Nova.I wonder what they are going to put in its place.
Yikes. Burnoffs? Is it cancelled, or is it still the perpetual "fill in"?THIS JUST IN: The world really is coming to an end (probably not on May 21, or June 3 (5/21 on the Julian calendar), though) - CBS is scheduling new episodes of Rules of Engagement on Saturday nights!
