Were lifetime subs availible in the UK on or prior to January 21, 2000?
In other words, are there any UK TiVos whose lifetime sub is "grandfathered in" on the one-time transfer (from the first time they re-defined lifetime)?

As I recall, October 2000 is the other "grandfather date", units manufactured before that can work as manual recorders without a TiVo subscription, and, I seem to recall having read, can make the "daily call" to TiVo to get the clock set.No, the first available was on the release date - 1st October 2000.
