FIOS TV and TivoHD - anyone working?

So I'm starting to think the old FIOS TV pixelation issues are still in the TivoHD code branch (the version number is old, and I can't find it, but I think the original Series 3 had these same issues).

I didn't have FIOS TV when I first got my S3, and by the time I got FIOS TV, the issues were resolved (already on 8.3).

So... anyone have FIOS TV and a TivoHD with 2 CC's, and are they working? Ideally if you're in the Washington/MD area, that would be even better.

Specific channels I've seen so far with major issues:
- 49 WEATHER
- 851 HBOHD

Thanks!

Well, 2 people claim they have this, but no posts, so I have to question it. If you have a working setup with FIOS TV and a TivoHD, please post some specifics, like:
- How long?
- Have you watched HBOHD for more than 5 or 10 minutes?
- Have you recorded a lot of shows, and not seen any pixelation?
- Etc.

I've just exchanged my box at BB, and used two other cable cards in my house from a S3 (FIOS doesn't pair the cards), and I'm getting the exact same pixelation results.

This points to the Tivo OS as the culprit, or a really bad production process and two boxes are bad.

Lame.
My DC/VA CableCard install (for the TivoHD) is scheduled for 11am tomorrow. Will update soon.
I just got the CableCards installed in my TivoHD. I don't see any pixelization yet here in DC/VA.

Check channel 49 and 851 on both CC's. And watch for like 5-10 minutes. It seems to take a little bit for the TivoHD to degrade or something.
I am in the Tampa market with FIOS with a THD, I have had it for a week. Occasional Pixelation issues, my THD upgraded to 8.17B a couple of days ago. I'm too cheap for HBO, now that the Sopranos are done.
I had my FIOS TV cable cards installed in my S3 six weeks ago. Zero issues here. North Texas.
AbMag,

I did some more viewing tonight. I'm not subscribed to HBO at the moment, but I do see occasional pixelization on some other channels. It is very brief (lasts a few frame), sometimes only affects a section of the screen, and varies from once every 3-5 minutes to once every 15-20 minutes, depending on the channel. It doesn't appear to be related to the recordings themselves.

I'm hopeful Tivo can fix it with a software update. I didn't experience these breakups with either the FiOS DVR or the Tivo Series3.

The subject clearly says TivoHD, not Series 3. And the content of the first post is pretty clear, too.
Just had it installed today.. So far so good. My system comes off the Keller head end.
Going to pick my Tivo HD up today, cable card install is next thursday.

We'll see how it goes...
I got my TivoHD on Saturday and the card we're installed Tuesday, so I've had a little over 24 hours of viewing. I've seen a couple of very minor pixelation issues. Once on ESPN HD and once in the Tivo menu. As of now, the minor pixelation isn't a concern to me.

FYI, I was at a neighbors house last night who has Comcast and during about an hour of TV watching (various channels) I saw 4 or 5 instances of similiar, very minor pixelation.

I'm in Richmond, VA (Chesterfied Co.)
Ok it's been in 24 hours.. have watch SD and HD programming live and recorded. While there has been a few minor pixelation issues and I'm talking 3 in 24 hours lasting less than a second it's far less that the pixelation I would occasionally get with the FIOS DVR which is now in the bedroom until I buy another Tivo HD when they have a decent sale towards Christmas.

My cards are Motorola cards if anyone is curious. I'm off the Keller head end.
Would anyone care to tell me where in Northern VA has FiOS already? I signed up for their "Notify Me" list a year ago, but it is still not available to me yet. I'm wondering if they're cherry-picking areas.

Current construction information here.

Current N. VA availability is limited to the DC Metro area, i.e. Arlington, Fairfax, Falls Church, Loudoun, Prince William, etc.

The service availability check by phone # won't work reliably unless you have Verizon phone service, so be sure to use your address when checking online. Even then, the online availability page is not always correct. The online check will often indicate unavailability for customers that live between zip codes or adjacent to business districts. If service is delivered by telephone pole in your area, look for the rectangular black boxes that FiOS uses.
What does Fios charge for the cable cards? I'm hoping they will begin installations in my area soon. I've already signed up for the internet installation but I'm not sure if they will be offering TV initially. I'll need to get cards for four HD TiVos.

In Malvern, PA, I was quoted a cost of $2.99 per card. That still comes out cheaper than their DVR ($13) by a good margin.
Wow! $2.99 a month? That makes Comcast seem so much better currently since they are charging me nothing.

Yeah, but at least here in Montgomery County, MD. The basic package for FIOS which includes ALL basic and HD channels is $42.99 month. How much is your Comcast digital package with HD channels?

The comparable service on Comcast Arlington / MC is over $60/mo without any promotions. It's less than that -- at least for a year -- if you get triple play. Of course, Verizon has triple play too.

The switch to FiOS also gets you a few more HD channels and improved SD quality, with plenty of capacity for new HD channels.

I like that FiOS customers don't get hit with price increases, or at least, haven't thus far. Customers who subscribed before January (before the hike to $42.95/mo) are still paying $39.95/mo for FiOS service.
