Hello. I am new to Tivo and I was just wondering if there is anyway to fast forward to a specific time. For example, if I have a 2 hour movie and I want to skip ahead 1 hour do I have to hold the FF button until I get to that point or is there a trick to jump ahead?

There isn't a trick to jump to an arbitrary point in the recording. For example, there is no way to jump to the 72 minute mark.

However, there is a way to quickly move through a recording. Press the FF button once, then use the Advance button

to just to the next white 'tick' mark on the green recording progress bar.

By default these marks are every 15 minutes. On very long recording (IIRC 3+ hours), they start covering longer periods of time to reduce the number of tick marks.

So FF, Advance, Advance, Advance, Advance, Play should leave you at the 1 hour mark.
