Fear Factor Returning to NBC

Fear of reviving reality hits is not a factor for NBC. After spiking their ratings impressively with singing competition The Voice, the Peacock is now rebooting action classic Fear Factor.

Original host Joe Rogan added plenty of personality to the first series, but it’s not yet clear who will host the revamp, or when the show will launch (midseason or next summer would be safe bets).

It won't be the same without Joe Rogan. He's a lot more famous now than he was then due to his affiliation with the UFC and that keeps him pretty busy. Hopefully they can get Joe back. I have to admit I'm a little squeamish and most of the time I FF through the eating gross stuff parts:p...
Bring back Joe Rogan.. Without him, it will be as bad as the non-Anderson Cooper "The Mole".. (ok, that wasn't bad, just 'ok')

Though Rogan is a nutjob who doesn't believe we went to the moon.

Well to be fair, he didn't say it didn't happen. He just said he isn't convinced either way. There are actually quite a few "credible" people who believe it could have been a hoax.

To be fair, that still makes him a nutjob. Bring back the program, if it means that it will fund actual good show like Community and Parks and Rec. I'm all for bringing in cheap shows to pay for quality shows.
I am a big Fear Factor fan. I'm a fan of anything Joe Rogan does. actually.

Joe Rogan isn't a nutjob. ;)

I hope they get Joe as well. I have to admit, though, that I had no idea that his stock had risen and is "a lot more famous now", as I don't watch or pay attention to UFC. I loved News Radio, though. :)

He's one of the faces of the sport. He's been announcing for the UFC since the beginning when it just getting started. It's exploding right now and is even outselling Boxing in PPV's.

Thanks for the info. I actually knew that the sport is huge and might be (or already has) taken over boxing, but, since I don't watch, I didn't know that Joe was involved.

All of the stuff he brought up on the Penn Jillette Show he did several years ago, and what I've heard Adam Carolla describe thirdhand, has been the same old theories that were debunked long ago.

Ergo, he is a nutjob.

QED.
Except he's not a nutjob. So that kind of screws your theory. :p

QED. ;)

If "credible" people aren't convinced we went to the moon, then their doubt is bassed purely on ignorance and all they need to do is a little homework. If they've done their homework and they still think it didn't happen, then they're not "credible" in the first place and are nutjobs.

Not sure what category Joe Rogan falls into, but I assure you he is anything but a "nutjob". I think you guys are taking this way too seriously. Rogan's a comedian. They say whacky stuff all the time. It doesn't mean they are delusional. It just means they are in Showbiz. They lie for a living. That's why I put "credible" in quotes. ;)
Awesome. Can't believe it originally started airing 10 years ago!
Joe Rogan stated he would consider doing doing Fear Factor again. But said he hasn't been contacted and nothing is set yet...

Also the points Joe Rogan makes about the moon are interesting. (not that he himself invented the points he references) But it is interesting to know that the US has not been ANYWHERE near the moon in almost 40 years. Seems weird that we would be able to get there then never go back. I am not suggesting the moon landings are fake but I don't see questioning things in history as making one a nutjob. Now if he was stating FACT WE NEVER WENT TO THE MOON with no proof than he is a nutjob. To simply question it is smart just ask the people who didn't assume the world was flat. :)
I think if it isn't Joe Rogan, Brooke Burns would be a great alternative. She hosted another reality competition called Dog Eat Dog. She's easy on the eyes.

As for Joe Rogan, I don't think he's any more popular now, unless you are an MMA fan. For most people, hasn't he pretty much dropped off the face of the moon? err, Earth?

We haven't been back for one reason: money. It's very, very expensive to send people to the moon safely. At the height of the Apollo program, NASA's budget was over 7 times it's current budge in terms of percentage of the total federal budget, and nearly twice as much in terms of actual dollars. And Apollo was pretty much NASA's only focus back then. Today, in addition to running a permanently maned orbital outpost, NASA's got their hands full with tons of projects, from space vehicle design, to various probes, missions, astronomy, and earth sciences.

The problem with "just asking questions" is that these peole rarely want or accept real answers. If Rogen continues to question if the moon landings actually happened, and it's not just some kind of comedy act like bareyb thinks it might be, then Rogen is either disingenuous or an idiot. Any questions about the veracity of the moon landings are easily answered with a little research. If Rogen hasn't done this research, then he's disingenuous and not really interested in getting answers. If he's done the research, he's an idiot for finding it possible the moon landings were faked. And I'd say either option makes him a nut job, too.
