Hi ! My tivo is 5 years old. I had already replaced the original drives 5 years ago, and 3 years ago i had bought 2 replacements, just in case... well all was well, however i had the idea to replace the working drives with these 2 brand new replacements still sleeping inside their original package.

This was 2 months ago.

Now last night i was unable to watch 2 recorded movies. The picture was still for several minutes in the middle of the movie. The Tivo button didnt work. So, i unplugged tivo, waited 2 minutes, replugged and went back watching the movie. Well the image froze again but this time Tivo rebooted.
Afterwards it did the same, again.

Then i cancelled the movie, and i started watching another one. Same thing.
Tivo rebooted, i cancelled the new movie and i watched a recorded episode with no problems.

I have 2 Hds, 80 gb.
Just to play safe, i have already ordered a 300 gb from tivoland. Did i do right ?
Am i to assume that my 2 Hds are about to crash ?

thx,
andrea
