I'm not really sure about this show. It's sort of a very low budget Biggest Loser.

The contestants have to walk 500 miles in 10 weeks (from Boston to D.C.). Along the way they have to tent camp. There was one team reward where they got to shower and sleep in a B&B.

I kind of felt sorry for them. The trainers showed absolutely no personality. (I guess they're low budget too.)

One woman quit after a couple of days - she was expecting a spa I think. :) She complained non-stop - even the trainers were glad she quit.

Anyone else watch this?

Taped, not watched yet.

I only taped it because it sounded like "The Long Walk", a Bachman/King short story that I really loved.
Do they shoot them when they walk too slowly?? :D

Watched it last night. Not much personality in this gang and given the time frame, you won't see the sorts of dramatic size changes you get with the biggest loser which goes over a muhc longer period. If I grok this, the total time frame is due to be about 10 weeks. and even with a lot of exercise, no one will lose more than about 70 lbs. Given how large most of the people start, that's a drop in the bucket.

I watched it last night, will give it another few episodes.

Low budget for sure, surprising since it is a prime time network show.

All the people appear to be morbidly obese, some the ultra morbidly obese.

They do control the appetite. I assume that they are working with doctors who specialize in morbid obesity before they put them on the march. I note that one marcher had to go to the hospital for dehydration and low blood sugar. Another one was voted out (after having to stop for foot injuries).
