Well, Bonnie is still Christy's mom, no matter where Christy goes. Not that the show acknowledges Christy's kids or grandchild anymore. Marjorie is a mother to her son and surrogate mom to pretty much everyone.

How was she able to get out of her contract?

When I first saw headline assumed would say after current (just signed) contract expired. I guess unfortunately has something to do with health.
