Good episode!

Seemed to answer some of our questions!

Interesting looking aliens. Pretty creepy when the one was looking through the peephole.

Now we know where Ben's girlfriend ended up.

And it looks like the skitters may have started out as humans.

What made the doctor think the skitters used to be humans?

I have no idea what made them make that leap. I thought/figured that the skitters were just another planet inhabitant that was overtaken with those alien backpacks by the humanoid aliens. Never did I think the humans morphed into skitters.

I think the fact that the area around the spikes on the kids back seemed to be spreading/hardening.
I thought the doctor said that the skitters used to be something else, not necessarily that they'd once been human.

They should have shot that old broad.
I think they're trying to rehabilitate Pope by having him bond with Tom's son. And after developing the hybrid bullet, he's gained a little cred with Cap'n Weaver.

I guess we've finally seen the 'real' aliens. Interesting that they are bipedal and generally humanoid.

I wonder what the cliffhanger will be.
Well in the last thread I speculated that the skitters were derived from the kids. So it looks like I might be right, although, there was a line where someone said...."The skitters were harnessed too" So perhaps both the skitters and the kids were both "workers" or "pets" to the real aliens. I guess we'll find out.
Yes she found a harness on the skitter meaning their planet was probably invaded and are being used as soldiers.

I think the kid who was previously harnessed and is acting weird is still feeding info back to the skitters in some way.

I got the impression the doctor thought the kids are morphing into skitters. Which I thought was a big leap versus the skitters were harnessed by the aliens and are slaves just like the kids.

Which opens up the big twist that the skitters are GOOD aliens being controlled by the BAD aliens. So maybe they figure out a way to free the skitters and have them fight on the human side. :)

She didn't say they were human. I just figured that since she examined the kid, which led her to examine the skitter, that she thought that was what was happening.

Exactly what I was thinking.
I don't know why I thought of this but if this were Lost, the doctor would not have shared the skitter's harness information with anybody for about nine episodes.

Well the conversation at the end made it seem like they were debating sharing this news. WTF!!!!
The harness was inside the skitter so it was not harnessed necessarily but had been transformed by the harness from some other creature. I doubt if all the skitters are of human origin.
Remember, not all questions will be answered since this show has been renewed for another season.
Just overall, this is one of the few shows I look forward to and make sure I watch either while it is on (until I catch up with the commercials) or within a day or two of its being broadcast.
I, too, thought that the skitters may not be humans originally.

Did Weaver ever consider that his wife bought a second pair of glasses since they split up? or that if these were her only pair, why did she leave them? ;)

Interesting that the new aliens are naked and don't carry weapons!

I can't believe the humanoid alien would go out and about without some sort of armed escort. it appeared that it was alone with the harnessed girl. And she wasn't carrying a weapon, I don't think.

Not to mention, those glasses looked pretty generic to me. Could have been anybodies. Did he mention any type of distinguishing mark on the glasses?

 lol I didn't get why dissecting the dead skitter had to be top secret in the first place.

Why would you want to turn a human into a skitter for battle purposes? If that was the function of the harness you'd think they could have come up with a more effective warrior. I guess they are kind of armoured.

If the Skitters were conquered like we were, why aren't they more sympathetic to humans--they seem to hold us in contempt for fighting back.

My guess is stockholm syndrome sorta how Rick the previously harnessed kid says the skitters will be back for them and all will be well.

I think it's something he wants to believe. We're looking at it closer than he is.
Pretty good episode.

Can anyone tell my why it took them so long to figure out that the ultra hard Mech metal would make a better armor piercing bullet than copper covered lead? By the way, have they tried depleted uranium tipped bullets on the Mechs? I assume the military would have back during the initial attack.

I'm also one of those people that get super aggravated when a projectile .44" diameter makes an entry hole the size of a softball.
