The show is too silly for me to call it good TV. But despite its bonehead science and lack of math skills (the Mercury program was 60 years ago?!?) , the characters are enough to make it bearable.

The episode was fun. It seems to be tieing up plot strings from the first half. I wonder why they decided to keep the new universe. Oh well. Still good TV.

Their little bit of time spent in 1947 changed enough that Project Mercury would have started in 1951? The U.S. Army was still playing around shooting off captured German V2 rockets in 1951.They changed history, this is a different universe remember?

There is no way that, in the four years from 1947 the US could have developed that kind of space program. We needed a sufficient number of home-grown scientists. And there weren't enough Germans (and we certainly didn't trust them enough at that time) to get a program off the ground that quickly.
I don't remember, did they say something like "60 years ago" or something like "the 60's"?(the Mercury program was 60 years ago?!?)
Maybe they meant "the 60's" and it just came out wrong.
