Well that was hard to follow. I guess I forgot a lot of the details about how season 1 ended.

I'm not particularly enamored of the direction season 2 is possibly headed... with Henry apparently going off half cocked now. And a young kid "hiding" the artifact within himself.

Oh well, summer fun; that's all this is supposed to be.

Despite not understanding "the man downstairs" and how/why Allison's son would ever have been taken to Global, I thought this was pretty good. I also don't understand why it took about a month after Kim died for everyone else in the vicinity of the Artifact to self-combust, but ... whatever. It's fiction.

I also think they really need to remove the soft filter when Debrah Farentino is in the scene. It's distracting.

Anyway, I'm sure we'll eventually find there's a connection between Beverly and the occupational therapist, or the O.T. and the Senator.

Great episode ... lots of lines that had me laughing.

I did get a little disturbed at the end ... Henry seems like he *wants* to go nuts..

Its one thing when you blame someone for your loves death... its now another matter when he has no idea what you are talking about...

Looks like they're going to make Henry a bad guy, which is a shame.

Why are they using a soft filter on Debrah Farentino? Has she aged that badly?

Might be that the eclipse woke up the Artifact inside the kid, and now it's incinerating people who injured it or people who tick the kid off. A homage to Dark Phoenix and Heroes?

I think the solar show mixed with the Artifact is what caused it. not just the Artifact

I had too, but a second watching was much more satisfying, especially catching all the ways Jack was confused about the present and the "future."

The son was either in day care or a regular therapy session at Global, since his therapist worked there in Section 1. The therapist snuck out and was talking with the other victim in Section 5, which was downstairs. Just why he did that is still unknown.

I thought the bits with Jack trying to relive the future that he'd already lived through were pretty amusing, but if he'd already been "back" for a month, wouldn't he have already gotten used to that? It was as if that month didn't even happen or something.

I suspect nothing terribly divergent happened during that month...

Due to conflicts, my Tivo recorded the second showing, not the first. It was off by something like ten minutes and I missed the ending. (Did anyone else notice this? Unlikely as I am the only one bringing it up.) To add to my frustration, unlike Galactica which Sci-Fi seemed to show a half dozen times during the week, there is no scheduled encore showing another day. Will I have to wait for the whole of season two to play out before I get to see a rerun of episode one? This is not the way to start a season!

+1. I got the second showing, which started with 10 minutes of "Painkiller Jane."

I guess the SciFi Channel had an earlier sports show run over... NOT! :D

You might be joking, but if not . . .

SciFi had something called ECW on after the first airing of Eureka and from the guide data it appears to be some sort of wrestling. It must have run long.

Thanks ParadiseDave, I'm glad it wasn't just me. Just how much time will I have to pad my recordings to make sure that I get the whole show? This schedule-slipping is not acceptable. Lost was doing this a lot last year, which is when I started to pad my SPs by a couple of minutes. This was like ten minutes though!

I never padded my LOST recording last season, and not once did I have the recording end before the previews from the next week ended.

It happened to me, pretty consistently. Since it never ate into the actual show it didn't really bother me, but ABC (or at least their local affiliate here) has never been very good about starting and stopping exactly on time...unlike NBC (or at least their local affiliate here), which always starts everything (or at least, everything I watch) PRECISELY when the TiVo begins recording.

I'm conflicted about this episode. It was good, but it was much less light hearted than last year. While I chuckled in some spots it wasn't as fun as last year. I'm hoping they don't make the Henry thing an issue in every episode. I don't mind some of that, but it's much darker than I'd like the show to be.

Glad this show is back!! I missed the last few minutes, thanks to some timing issue with Sci Fi channel and the recordings. I take is Henry got whacky in those last few minutes. I'm hoping the next episode explains a few more things that this episode didn't explain!
