I enjoy this show very much but for the past six or so episodes I was frustrated by the behavior of Henry. I just felt that the writers were really stretching the whole angst-ridden Artifact/Kimberly/Henry plot line. This culminated with the season finale where Henry "colludes" with Beverly in order to help heal Kevin. Throughout the episode I kept repeating to my wife, how can someone who is supposedly a genius act so stupidly?

Even Henry's motive "twist" at the end makes no sense. He triggered the virus alert and acted like he was in league with Beverly to get access to the teleportation device to heal Kevin? Why is Beverly's participation in this stupid scheme required? Also, when Henry was "shut out" by Nathan Stark and Allison Blake why did he not just confide to them that he knew about Kevin and had a theory that might help him? Stupid stupid stupid.

I enjoy the show and especially like the dialog but the whole latter season Henry character and the last two episodes' virus scheme by Henry was just bad TV.

I agree wholeheartedly. They sent Henry down a pat that completely contradicted his earlier behavior. Perhaps we're to think that Kim's death has his mind so confused, that he's not thinking rationally. Perhaps.

Plus - - this device hasn't really been fully tested, and the program was shut down years ago, but they stored it in here, etc... Come on! No way Allison would let her son be involved until further tests were completed. And, had Henry rationally approached them both about the plan, it could have been. They would have done so secretly and quickly... the writing seemed at odds with itself to have them all instill such trust in the system at that point.

I did really enjoy the episode overall. Especially Zane and Fargo working together - and when the computer was mimicking Fargo, and they called it out. Clever!

SoBelle0,

I agree the Episode was good overall and my only real gripe this season has been the Henry character. This episode the Stark & Carter interactions were especially fun. I got a kick out of Taggert's paraphrases of lines from both The Princess Bride & The In-Laws.

I was disappointed with Henry as well. Does anyone think since he was arrested that the character won't be back? Do you think they were just writing him out?

I love Eureka (has to be in my top 3 shows), but I feel like they need to drop the artifact storyline and concentrate on the other happenings around town...

It was renewed for a 13-episode third season last week.
Can we even call Season 2 a season? What was it, like 8 episodes?

I agree the whole Henry thing was fubarred. What I don't understand is Allison's behavior. Why give them the code for the transporter? They can't kill her because she has the code, and they can't kill (or threaten) her son, because they want him for his connection to the field. No brainer -- just wait for the rescue. I thought these Eureka types were geniuses?

Same here with the Henry character development...did not like how it played out. And, for a season ender, it was a bit short of my expectations. However, that being said, Eureka is still my favorite summer TV delight!

Things like the HUGE and annoying Ghost Hunter bug make me feel like canceling cable. Do the idiots that decide to put these things on the screen actually watch the channel and see how annoying they are? Those pop-in ads are annoying enough without plastering the ads permanently on the screen.

I'll agree with the comments about Henry... Too bad they made it go this way. I guess they got tired of paying Joe Morton's salary?

What was Jo's quote? Something along the lines of "Guys, there's enough backdoor entry for everyone?" ;)

The best part of the Emmy Awards was Lewis Black ....

That Ghost Hunter promo logo puts Sci-Fi well on it's way to meeting my '50% of the screen' prediction for this stuff on tv by 2009.

My other prediction for 2011 of having the actual show in a small PiP with Promo and advertising making up 95% of the screen still seems a bit off. I'd like to revise that to 2012.

A week before this I recorded an alternate time slot showing of Eureka to avoid the promo. I can't find one, yet, for the final episode.

ENDING SPOILER:

Basically...

Beverly teleports away.

Taggert escorted people from morgue out safely.

Allison, Stark, Carter, & Henry are going over events with DoD people and Henry fesses up to being responsible.

Scene cuts to Henry packing stuff/organizing his garage/lab and after he hangs up his grease-monkey jumper he's cuffed by Carter and led away by DoD guy.
