my home is wired with Ethernet and I have 2 smart tv's, one connected to TiVo Bolt and one to TiVo mini. Everything has and continues to work fine BUT my Smart TV's can only connect to network via WiFi. Just got trial of Disney + which doesn’t have TiVo app so connecting through smart TV. Only option is to connect via WiFi even though TiVo’s are hard wired. Wouldn’t signal just pass through TiVo or do I need a splitter of some sort or something else. Any help/suggestions much appreciated.

Sounds like you were expecting the TiVo to provide Ethernet to the TV's (possibly through the HDMI cable?). It doesn't work like that.
If you want the TVs connected to Ethernet you need to plug an Ethernet cable into them in addition to the one plugged into the TiVo. (If there's only one Ethernet outlet near the TV you could pick up an inexpensive Ethernet switch to let you run multiple devices through that one Ethernet outlet)

I guess the question is if ethernet terminates at Tivo box and tivo box connects to tv via hdmi, does/can ethernet signal go all the way to tv? Currently, the only option TV setup offers is wifi-it doesn't seem to recognize hardwire connection.

Do you have any other WiFi device like a laptop? The TV connects the same way. I have a Sharp/Roku TV that is WiFi only. No, the Ethernet signal does not go all the way to the TV.
Does the TV have the Disney+ app? If not, what does?

The TiVo does not pass the Ethernet connection to the TV. The Ethernet stops in the TiVo. Check your TV to see if there is an ethernet connection on it. Looks like a wider, larger phone modular jack. If the TV has the connection, then you will need an Ethernet cable to plug into it. If the TV has the connector, and there is no cable plugged into it, then the setup for the TV may not list the ethernet connection, as it found no signal on it and then only list the WiFi as an option. A network switch is used to split the ethernet signal to the 2 devices.
Thanks all-question answered! I was thinking/hoping somehow the Ethernet signal magically flowed through the TiVo to the tv which I now know to be wrong. Tv's have Ethernet port so it looks like I need the switch Jonathon s mentioned. Thanks again!

No. (There actually was a standard for Ethernet over HDMI but as far as I know it never got picked up and implemented by actual devices - the TiVo certainly doesn't support it and I'd be flabbergasted if your TV could understand it either)

My families Uverse box (now Frontier) provides Ethernet from it's Ethernet jack. This is not a gateway, just a simple box. Is it possible it gets service from the coax and is available at the jack?

Yes. If the box has a MoCA bridge within it then it can receive Ethernet over its coax port and also provide that Ethernet to other devices over its Ethernet port.
IIRC the TiVo Bolt (though not the Bolt OTA), Roamio Plus/Pro, Premiere 4 / XL4 / Elite can all act as MoCA bridges.
TiVo minis can connect via MoCA but they can't act as bridges (so connecting another device to their Ethernet port won't get that device service).
