It seems from a lot of the posts that the various drive enclosures & hard drive combos can cause a lot of problems, depending on the configuration, type of cable used, phase of the moon, etc. The one drive I haven't heard anything about (either positive or negative) is the one mentioned in the FAQ, the My DVR Expander. Can anyone who has tried this setup speak to its results (either positive or negative)?

I installed it in less than 5 minutes and been using it for a month without any issues. I did upgrade the eSATA cable (per the FAQ).

That's a good question, the only place I can seem to find it is direct through Western Digital. They also state that there's only a one year warranty with it, whereas OEM drives are 3 years through other resellers, which makes no sense at all. Did you get any warranty info with it?

I bought it from WD for $200. Got it yesterday. Had it running on my v9.1 S3 in 30 minutes, mostly due to my cabinet setup and tight cable routing. Seems to be working just fine. I really like looking at the info page and seeing "up to 98 hours" for HD!
