Okay, I just tried watching something I recorded last week from HBO HD (Tell Me You Love Me), and it was pixelation city. Unwatchable.

So either the show is fubar or something with the eSata driving is killing me. I didn't have this problem before putting that drive on.

Anyone see breakups more when an esata is attachd than not?

We haven't seen anything unusual since connecting an eSATA drive May 12th.

If you've only seen it once on a week-old recording, and on only on one channel, IMHO it was probably a broadcast glitch.

You didn't mention if you have an S3 or TiVo HD, but assuming you have an S3 you might get more feedback by posting on the Series3 eSATA Drive Expansion: FAQ + Discussion thread as well though.
