I cloned the original 1TB HD, which was starting to act flakey, to a 2TB (WD Red) . All of the programs that were recorded are still readable but the capacity indicator (percentage bar) reads the same as it did with the smaller HD. Is there a way to make the unit recognize the increased HD capacity?

When you clone it, its an exact copy, so the extra space is not recognized. You need to use MFSTools 3.3 to expand the extra space.

Alternatively, If you are still on the TE3/v20 Tivo software, you can download your shows to the computer with KMTTG/PyTivo and then install a blank hard drive (Yes, Roamio prepares hard drives up to 3TB under TE3), transfer shows back. KMTTG does passes as well.
