Emergency Alert

Just now I had an Emergency Alert concerning the Corona Virus and the City of Chicago, though I live in the suburbs, on my Premier XL. I couldn't get Tivo central, or the guide or anything to come up.
In our kitchen, my wife is watching tv using a Mini connected to our Roamio. She didn't get an alert.
Why would that be?

They're not concerned about your wife.

I've never happened to see this, but if this is a consistent way to avoid emergency alerts, I'd consider getting a mini and never watching my roamio directly. During storm season in Florida we can get a slew of these every time a storm moves a few feet with updated position information and the notification that I should stay inside (which is where I already am).
