Emergency Alert fried my season passes

Checked my "To Do" list tonight for some reason, and noticed that all my broadcast season passes on my Premiere Elite had changed from their original channel to "860 EAS" (Emergency Alert System, i suppose... so nothing was scheduled. Called TiVo and they basically said i would have to delete and re-enter each season pass. What a pain. Oh, well. Anybody else have that happen? My two Premieres were fine... just the Elite was affected. Plus, all cable channel season passes were fine... only ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX were affected...

Wow, that sucks. at the VERY least, you could maybe go into each one, view upcoming, then choose an episode on the ORIGINAL channel.. That would at least help make sure you "redid" each one of them.

Yeah, wow, if you did this starting with the top, one by one.. then you could DELETE each one one by one.. and when you were done, you would have a WHOLE NEW LIST, already in the right order..

Something very similar happened to me here on my Elite. All of my broadcast HD channels were missing today. As in, they were not showing up in the guide, and manually typing in the channel numbers resulted in a "channel not available" message.

I rebooted to see if that would fix it. When the Elite came back up, the broadcast channels were back in the guide and playing, but this was while the Tuning Adapter was still blinking.

As soon as the TA stopped blinking, the "Tuning Adapter is connected" message came up, and once again the broadcast HD channels were gone and could not be tuned to. I tried the channel test in the Tuning Adapter menu, and the channels were simply not there. It went from 1017 down to some channel in the 800s (I can't recall the exact number), so 1003 - 1016 or all broadcast HD locals were gone.

I had to call Cox to get them to send a signal that got the channels back.

However, all of my Season Passes for those channels were changed to, you guessed it, "860 (EAS)".

Strangely, after a few hours of having the correct channels back in the guide, now all of these SPs are mapped to channel "1101 (HUB)".

I was going to try to let them sit overnight and see if they self-correct, but I'm thinking they won't and I'll have to re-enter them again too.

Oh, and my Series 3 also lost these channels, but the SPs were not messed up.

It sounds like something weird Cox did to the cablecard mapping during the EAS alert caused the TiVo to think all the channels were moved to this single channel. I have never seen it before and I bet TiVo hasn't either. It would be nice if they could get some debug info so they can handle this in the future.

I just deleted them one by one, then used the season pass manager list on tivo.com on my laptop, and used the guide to just find upcoming episodes and quickly add them back in. The pain was that i always go in and select "New Episodes only" as well as "one minute early" for all season passes. (Since the elite has 4 tuners, don't have to worry about the overlap thing as much now.)

I did call TiVo customer support but i don't think i sent them any info from my box. The CSR said he had heard some customers were stuck on the Weather Channel since the EAS... rebooting didn't help... again, sounds like this just messed up their cable cards....
Sounds like it was a good that TiVo has not updated the software on the regular Premieres to match the Elites yet.
This was the purpose to the test to see what it would happen. Clearly changes need to made so the cable card does not change channels or effect the season pass.
