I have a number of DVRs (Series 2) on my wireless network. I'm using a Linksys WRT 54GS Wireless Router, v.6. All of my computers and DVRs work fine.
For compatibility issues with my third party DVD burner, at Tivo's suggestion I am still on Tivo to Go version 2.0.
About six months ago (before the new Version 9.1 issues, etc., so I don't think it's a Tivo problem), when I open Tivo to Go on my laptop, no DVRs show up.
Through a process of trial and error (and help desk calls to Tivo and Linksys), I found the work around is to reboot my wireless router. Then all the DVRs show up and I can transfer to the PC and burn DVDs flawlessly.
However, after one "batch" finishes transferring, and I want to move to another DVR to input the shows into Tivo to Go......once again.....no DVRs showing.
The Linksys diagonostic tool shows all peripherials connected properly, and as I said earlier, everything functions fine......except the Tivo to Go feature that shows my DVRs and allows me to transfer to the PC. Once I reboot, even that works fine.
Any ideas? I searched this and other forums and couldn't find exactly this question or a workable answer.
Short of a solution, isn't it a poor choice to reboot the router so often?
