Since I fear I may have to do the dreaded reset of my DVR unit, and lose all of my programs, I have to learn from my lesson and get a DVD recorder of some sort so its not so dreaded. I would rather not tie it into my computer if I don't have to. So, my question is, any suggestions on a good unit that can record my saved programs onto DVDs? If it can convert old VHS that would be a plus. I keep running into a Sony unit but saw mixed reviews on them putting out many "coasters". Sorry I am not a tech freak, maybe someone out there who is can guide me on this one. So far this forum has been very helpful. Again, would rather not use it with computer until I move and get my whole system in order. Thanks.
