I've had my DT unit for a couple of weeks thanks to the lifetime transfer offer.

Today I saw that it was recording two shows at the same time but one of them showed a message saying something about not being able to connect to the channel or something like that.

So only one show was actually being recorded.

Both channels are marked in Setting/Channels as being cable; not box.

So that should never happen. Right? Tivo should have known that it can't record two shows at once from the same cable.

Did I do something wrong? Is this a bug?

But it occurred to me that those channels that can be seen both on cable and box should be marked as such. That way Tivo, if smart enough, could have recorded the two shows above.

When I ran through the initial setup, all the lower channels were set to cable only. Would it be ok to change them to cable and box?
