HD? as in High Def TV? if this is a yes, then no. The TiVo storage harddrive does not determine if a TiVo is high def or standard def. Its the TiVo hardware that determines this, as such, TiVo created the Series 3 & the newer TiVo HD units.
You can install a new harddrive into your DRT800 to increase the overall storage capacity, but it will still only be a Standard Def unit.
