Downgrading cable = am I screwed?

Hey all,

I have a Series 2 and I'm ditching the digital cable and cable box and just sticking with the extended cable. I'm also ditching my telephone service (offered through my cable provider). I'm running the Tivo on my wireless network.

So a couple questions..

Will I have to go through guided setup again to change the video/cable settings?

If so, will that require a landline and will I lose any of my recorded shows and season pass settings?

If i keep the phone service if it's needed for guided setup, the only phone line that works in my house is in the bedroom and not near the TV. :(

thanks for any help..

Yes, you'll have to repeat guided setup
No. it won't require a land line and no your season passes and recordings will not be affected.

and just because I need to say something - regarding the distance from your Tivo/TV to the phone jack - are the TV and Tivo permanently bolted in place or something? I didn't think so - they can be moved, but why move them when telephone extension cords can used. Where there's a will, there's a way.
Since you've changed how TiVo will receive the programming and a cable box won't come into play, you will want to do a repeat guided setup. Yes, you can do that over the network and don't confuse that with a Clear & Delete Everything. You won't lose your recordings or Season Passes.
