Hello all,

A quick question: I picked up a Bolt Vox from a neighbour (the 1TB, 6 tuner black type). It’s got Hydra on it, but I would like to downgrade it to TE3. Now, I know how to do it once it’s set up, but I was wondering if there was a way to downgrade it before completing guided setup - seems like a waste to go through setup (and the time that takes) only to wipe the thing and do it again.

No. Make sure you do a few connections to Tivo before downgrading or it might go back to TE4.

Likewise, make sure you do a few manual connections to Tivo after downgrading to make sure it stays with TE3.

It was a real pain to roll back my new Bolt. I went thru the set up that took 2 connections to the Tivo site and then had to go thru it all over again when I rolled it back.

After you downgrade, can you resend your season passes from TiVo.com or do you need to re add them all manually?

You can back them up with KMTTG and restore them. Channel list, too. And Thumbs.
