I get Dolby Digital broadcast from local cable via Cable Cards and receiver shows so when watching TV. When I record and watch, the sound comes out (per the receiver) as Dolby ProLogic II. Any theories out there as to why it is like that?

They are probably sending ProLogic-II surround on a stereo (DD2.0) channel, rather than digital surround (DD5.1).

Sorry, been out of the country on vacation. It's not a DD2.0 signal that I'm getting. It is actually a DD5.1 signal from Cox. Or rather, my Denon AVR3805 sees the signal coming from the TiVo as a DD5.1 as it will definitely light up really quick when it is 2.0 and will convert it over to PLIIx.
