For several years, I've had the Roamio Plus hooked into a modem/router combo to support Moca throughout my house. I have 3 mini's 92/93 that have worked. However, I don't have any coax into my basement so I decided to purchase the new mini lux with wireless adapter for my basement. It seems I have to unplug the ethernet cable from the Roamio Plus to the modem/router and switch to wireless for it to talk to the mini lux, thus killing my moca system throughout the house. Do I have any options to make the moca and wireless work together? (Comcast won't install new coax until Covid is over..)
I can't explain what's going wrong with the wireless adapter's connection, but your Roamio should remain networked via Ethernet and acting as your MoCA bridge. (Also, FWIW, Wi-Fi+MoCA is not an option for the Roamio Plus.)
As for the Mini and its wireless adapter, can the Mini access the Internet and the TiVo service with the wireless adapter set up? (At least up to the point prior to where the Mini tries to connect to its host DVR?)
Are you able to do mobile streaming from the Roamio Plus to your smartphones and/or tablets?
I'm wondering whether there is something in your Wi-Fi/LAN setup that is blocking communication between the wireless and wired LAN segments. Is your wireless access point built into your router, or are you using some other device for wireless? List models, if possible. Thanks.
