Does TiVo box have a stand alone volume control not associated with the TV's volume volume ..

I have a tv that will not longer accept any remote codes for any function. Can I control the volume through the TiVo box b4 it gets to the TV?

No, The Tivo does not have volume control. The Tivo remote controls the TV separately but just Power, Volume, mute and Input.
